The Downing Hostel - Sydney

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! the location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city center and close to major train stations, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to provide information and assistance. Finally, the rooms were clean and comfortable, with 4 bunk beds and shared showers that were well maintained. And let's not forget the delicious Sunday breakfast with pancakes!

Really enjoyed our recent business trip! The location couldn't be any better, just a few steps from multiple public transportation stops that were extremely useful getting around the city. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the value for money compared to other accommodation options was great, especially with the free activities on offer like game nights and group outings.

Although the amenities were plentiful, it would be great to have more outlets close to the beds and in the common areas. Check-in was a bit of a hassle as well, with no designated front desk person or clear instructions on how to check in upon arrival.

The hostel's great location saved me money on transportation. Basic amenities and newly updated kitchen. Free laundry facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return.

This hotel is a great value for money, especially considering the prices in the city center. It is conveniently located right by three major train stations, making it easy to get everywhere. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. The basic amenities provided, such as the shared shower rooms for the 4 bunk beds, are clean and well-maintained. And let's not forget about the Sunday breakfast with delicious pancakes!

We loved the activities they offered , which were a great way to meet new people. The staff were superb, making the atmosphere warm and friendly. We definitely recommend staying here.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with plenty of lockers to store our belongings. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions we had. Additionally, the breakfast offered on Sundays was a delightful treat, especially the pancakes!

Some of the staff can come across as unfriendly and it can be a bit noisy due to thin walls and some fellow guests being loud.

The prices were fair for the facilities and the bed was comfortable enough to sleep on. the location was perfect and we were able to walk to most of the major attractions. the staff was friendly and available to assist us.

The cleanliness was disappointing. the bedding was not changed regularly and the pillows were stained.
